The Lindy Fibre Optic HDMI® 4K60 Dongle Extender is an effective, reliable solution for extending UHD HDMI® transmissions over incredible distances up to 300m using one simplex LC OM3 or OM4 multi-mode (50/125µm) fibre optic kabel.

The extender can transmit 3840x2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8bit signals up to 300m with a OM3 or OM4 kabel using smart methods of compression which decompresses the video at the receiver, allowing for distribution of visually lossless UltraHD content. With HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG and Dolby Vision support, content can be seen enhanced contrast, and a much wider colour gamut, perfect for a true home cinema experience or eye-catching digital signage in retail settings. HDCP 2.2 compatibility allows protected 4K content, including Blu-Ray movies, TV shows & streaming services to be enjoyed without issue.

Support for lossless audio formats including Dolby Atmos & Dolby TrueHD adds powerful multi-channel sound to video content, providing an enhanced experience and sense of realism to the viewer.

The use of cost-effective LC multi-mode fibre optic cabling allows for the transmission of high bandwidth audio and video signals over incredible distances, far greater than is achievable with traditional miedź-based extension systems. Fibre optic cables are also completely immune to any electromagnetic and radio frequency interference which makes this extender an ideal solution for installations within environments susceptible to high interference such as medical, aerospace and manufacturing facilities. The compact size and flexibility also allow for easy installation under floors and within wall partitions.

Jak używać

Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source using the enclosed HDMI extension lead and plug the LC fibre into the transmitter's LC port. At the display end connect the LC fibre to the receiver and attach the enclosed HDMI extension lead to the display input. Power the receiver via the USB Micro‑B port using a 5 V USB charger or any powered USB port; the transmitter can be powered by the HDMI source when supported. Ensure correct fibre type (OM3/OM4 multimode 50/125µm) and follow the device orientation markers when inserting fibre connectors.

For reliable 4K60 4:4:4 transmission up to 300 m, use quality OM3 or OM4 multimode LC simplex kabel, avoid tight bends in the fibre (respect the bend radius), and connect HDCP‑compliant sources when playing protected content.
